What they do
The Kelp Guardians program (California Sea Grant R/HCEOPC-44, 2024 to 2026) trains Tolowa Dee-ni' Nation members in gametophyte culture and cultivation technique for bull kelp restoration. It builds sovereign seed capacity on the North Coast rather than operating as a commercial supplier.
