What they do
ORKA coordinates kelp monitoring and restoration along the southern Oregon coast, immediately north of the California North Coast. In November 2024 the team visited Moss Landing Marine Laboratories specifically to learn bull kelp culturing techniques for restoration outplanting. The alliance shares a biogeographic region with Del Norte and Humboldt counties, making method and provenance coordination valuable. It is listed here as a regional neighbour rather than a California supplier.
